DAY7 Parnu - shopping

we went to a bakery next to the bus station.
one of everyone's favorite in Japan is a bread with Yakisoba noodles. westerners think it's weird. well, i had something similar to that there. rice inside bread.

thrift store !!
yahoo!! this store had everything i needed. 
hand knitted mittens, cups, sweaters, linens.... 
but i can't remember where it is.

共同シャワーのお湯が出ないとかで、プライベートルームにアップグレードしてくれた。

２階のリビングは旧ソ連っぽさが滲み出てた。
テレビつけたらやってた子供番組。哀愁ただよってる・・・。

good home-made food and cute interior decorations.
upstairs is a health food shop, maybe?
i had a mango pie. i could have had another one easily.

lunch at a georgian restaurant in Parnu.
bean soup is delicious! eggplant with walnut sauce is fantastic!
we also had megrelian cheese dish. all of them are around 4 euros.

ランチはグルジア料理。
豆とタマネギのスープ、なすのにんにくと胡桃のソースのせ、チーズの料理、全部おいしかった！
グルジアの写真が飾ってあったけど、行ってみたい！
高橋ヨーコさんが撮ったグルジア写真集も大好きだし。

パルヌは実はエストニアのリゾート地。

安い、おいしい、イワシのサンドイッチは不思議。
こっちの蚊は頭のてっぺんをねらう。　
こっちのコーヒーにはちっちゃいお菓子が付く。

we ordered a greek salad which came with a whole chunk of feta cheese.
a portion of food in this country is HUGE!! 

夕ご飯たべるところが決まらなくて、結局クレープ屋さんに行った。
グリークサラダ頼んだら、こぶしくらいのチーズの塊が乗ってた。
この国の一人前は、とにかく大量。

この日の私の日記には、「ホステルに戻って寝たはいいけどかなりうるさい。朝方まで外で歌ってるアホがいた。」って書いてあった。

botanical garden in tartu
you don have to pay to see the gardens. if you'd want to see the indoor tropical garden, it costs 2 euros or something.
some are having a picnic, reading books, or playing with kids.
it's a pretty big garden with nice design.

タートゥの大学付属の植物園なのかな？
庭をぷらぷらするぶんにはタダ！（建物内の温室に入るには２ユーロくらい）
地元のひとがピクニックしてたり本読んでたり、子供が遊んでたりとか、落ち着くよ。
タートゥに行ったらふらっと寄って欲しい場所。
ちなみに向いのシアターではこの夏日本のアニメ特集みたいのするみたいよ。

この後もそうだけど、ヨーロッパではちょくちょく日本特集がされてる。

i smelled it.
i knew there was something happening around the corner.
we found a street fair by accident!
antiques, vintages, home-made cakes, crafts and so on...
 

こじんまりとやってるの。

道歩いてたら、たまたま見つけたストリートフェア！

ヴィンテージが安い。おばちゃんかわいい〜

写真に写ってるおばちゃんから沢山買わせて頂きました☆

それから上のお姉さんの手作りめがねケースも！

ほんとうに偶然見つけたんだよね。ほんとラッキー！

Town walk


Tartu is a college town in Estonia.
i sensed sort of a "young energy" here.
it's a little more hip and a little less old than Tallinn.

it's almost that you must have a ping-pong table on the street, right? 卓球台はもはや必需品でしょう。

タートゥは学生街なだけあって、若いなあって感じがした。
